Trauma does not always begin with us. Many of the emotional struggles, behavioral patterns, and even physical health challenges we face today can be rooted in events that occurred long before we were born. This is known as generational trauma—the transmission of trauma from one generation to the next. My books, Faces in the Smoke and Rage that Spans Generations, explore this topic through 14-year-old Aponia Monarch. Additionally, in the coming weeks, I will share more insights on generational trauma in my blog posts. Please feel free to share your insights and experiences.
